It’s a good thing they gave me something to bite down on because that last one was a doozy. I’ve got great news. They still use defibrillators in the future. I suppose that’s one way to wake up. Flashlight to the eyes. Thanks for that. Can I get up now? I’ve really got to piss. Hey Lady! Can you hear me?………..Nope. She can’t hear me. What the hell is going on? This whole thing just keeps getting better.
“We’ve turned off motor control, do not be alarmed, we are trying to help you,” she said to me. “Remain calm and we will have you up and going in no time.”
Motor control? What am I? Some kind of robot? And why does she seem so familiar? I know her from somewhere. But how could that be? All the doctors I knew drove cars…..on the highway……not in space. Not that there couldn’t be a space car. I just don’t think anyone in 2017 was driving cars to space.
“You really gave us a scare there a few minutes ago!” she said with a concerned look on her face. “We’ve got a few more scans to do and then we can give you a clean bill of health.”
Wouldn’t that be great? I haven’t had one of those in a long time.
